Make cool stop motion videos

Boinx iStopMotion lets you easily edit and produce your own stop motion movies. Ever seen Wallace & Gromit? Loved The Nightmare Before Christmas?If you've got creativity and imagination you can use iStopMotion to create the same sort of movies (well, almost). The application uses stop motion and time lapse to create shot by shot sequences.Easy to use, all you have to do is connect your camera, load in your shots and edit them in the iStopMotion interface. The program features a great help menu and good guidance, making it the ideal tool to teach kids how to make videos.You'll also become familiar with techniques such as blinking or onion skinning to make movements more visible, overlays and zooming. iStopMotion also lets you add a soundtrack to polish up your movie.

Once you're done editing, you'll be able to export the movie and watch in your favorite movie player. You can even print out your finished work as a little flip book.The only downside of the application is that it sometimes lag. This can be due to the size of the videos you're working with. Boinx iStopMotion is ideal to teach people how to make movies, and great fun to create your own animated skits.

Fixed an issue with the app silently quitting when capturing with a demo license installed. Sorry for the inconvenience! Wording improvement in the General prefs. Thanks to Craig Lauridsen for spotting the inconsistency. A few minor fixes for Mac OS X Lion.N.B. iStopMotion 2.5 and later require at least Mac OS X 10.5.8, but Mac OS X 10.6.7 or later is highly recommended. If you are currently using Mac OS X v10.6.7 and plan to work with a still camera on iStopMotion, please DO NOT YET update to 10.6.8, but stay on 10.6.7 for now! 10.6.8 will break capturing from still cameras. We are working on a fix.
